I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 12, running my babysitting business, Shari’s Little Feet. I made my own magnet business cards and even went to a tech camp at 14 to design my first website. Before long, I was booked months in advance.

After I got married, I had this vision: someday, when we had kids, I wanted to work from home and for myself. So, I started a little side hustle doing the same kind of work I did in my big corporate job, but with a local, get-things-done kind of vibe.

When my first son arrived in 2017, I kept climbing the corporate ladder while my husband tackled his Ph.D. Meanwhile, I grew my side hustle by connecting with local businesses that had something I wanted—like kids’ classes or a much-needed massage—and bartering my skills. Eventually, bartering turned into actual payments, which turned into, “Huh…this could really be a thing.”

Then 2020 happened. My 10+ year corporate job disappeared, my husband was graduating, and we decided to see how far my “little” business could go.

Now, 8+ years later, Oh My Landa is my full-time gig. I make my own hours, get to be there for my kids, work with 5 amazing contractors, serve 20+ monthly clients, and keep meeting new business owners ready to grow. And when I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me volunteering on our PTO or helping out with my kids’ sports teams—designing flyers, banners, and websites to cheer them on in style.
